A Decade Behind the Lens: Why I Do What I Do

Hi there, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. If we haven’t met yet, I’d love to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about the heart behind my work.

Rooted in Southwest Florida

I’m a Bonita Springs native, born and raised in the sunshine of Southwest Florida. These beaches, sunsets, and Gulf breezes aren’t just pretty backdrops to me. They’re home. There’s something special about photographing families and couples in the places I grew up loving, and I never get tired of the way golden hour lights up this corner of the world.

Ten Years of Capturing Stories

I’ve been doing photography for 10 years now, and for the last five, it’s been my full-time calling. Over that time, I’ve had the honor of photographing families, couples, and so many of life’s most important moments, from engagements and anniversaries to milestones and new beginnings. I also specialize in wedding photography. There’s nothing quite like being trusted with a couple’s wedding day: the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the look on a groom’s face when he first sees his bride, the happy tears of parents and grandparents. Every wedding is a story, and I consider it a privilege to tell it.

Why Photography Matters to Me

Here’s the truth: these moments never come back. Life isn’t forever, and the people we love won’t always be beside us. That’s exactly why I believe these moments need to be captured. I know this personally. Some of my most treasured possessions are the last pictures I have with my grandparents. When I look at them, I don’t just see a photograph. I remember their voices, the celebrations, and the way they made me feel. Those images hold something I can never get back, and I’m forever grateful they exist.

That’s what I want to give every family and couple I work with: not just beautiful pictures, but heirlooms you’ll hold onto for generations.

A Little More About Me

Along with photography, I also own and manage Paradise Key Vacations, a local short-term rental company offering vacation rentals right here in Southwest Florida. Welcoming guests to the area I love and helping them create their own unforgettable memories is a natural extension of what I do behind the camera. So if you’re visiting for a family getaway or a destination wedding, I’d love to help you find the perfect place to stay, too!

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me singing, playing drums or bass at my church (yes, I’m a bit of a music lover!), cooking up something delicious in the kitchen, digging around in my garden, or planning my next travel adventure. Each of these keeps my creativity flowing and reminds me to slow down and enjoy the beauty around me.

But my true fulfillment comes from my faith in Christ and from time spent with my husband and our daughter. They are my greatest blessings, and they remind me every day how precious and fleeting this life is. Being a wife and mom shapes the way I see every family I photograph, because I know firsthand how much these moments matter.
